A Letter to a Natural Health Practitioner of the Yuen Method
“You are very strong at your core. Start living from that, in whatever way you can and it will become real to your outward experience. As far as feeling peoples traumas, emotions, etc. that is a natural result from your past. As I imagine it is similar with all people from alcoholic/abusive relationships, your sensitivity is extremely high to other peoples pain because you’ve been trained to be sensitive. It may seem like a problem at the moment when you work with people, but you have a leg up on other practitioners with this sensitivity. Your task is to bring the sensitivity under your control, so you can observe without getting sucked into it.
The level two and three class will be very good for you. You will learn how to separate your thoughts from your emotions, your emotions from your thoughts, and your thoughts and emotions from your feelings. Then it will be easier to separate others experiences from your triggers.
When I said be merciless I didn’t mean it in the sense to beat yourself up, I meant it in the sense of accepting your strength and clarity mercilessly and mercilessly uprooting any negative self talk to the contrary, even if everyone around you does not appear strong or might feel uncomfortable by your strength, that is not your problem. When your strength becomes apparent and stable, the uncomfortableness others might demonstrate in one way or another will eventually transform into respect, and your presence will in turn attract others of strength and clarity to you.
You’ve got all you need, just keep going forward to your goal. You will experience it. Just don’t turn back and always remember who you are at your core.”
