Faith and Healing

Two days ago, a friend asked me how distance healing worked.  I didn’t give a very thorough answer.  So to make up for that, here it is!

Healing of any kind works on Faith.  This is not belief.  Belief is hoping something is true.  Faith is knowing something is true.  Healing can occur through touch, words, drugs, surgery, herbs, or anything else.  If the Faith is there it will work.  If it is not, no matter what is done, it will not occur.

Ever noticed how people can get all the treatments in the world and still have the problem? Or how a person can a relatively short treatment and recover almost instantly?  The difference between the two is the program in their consciousness.  Each program works differently based on their Faith.  Programs can be changed.  That is the good news!

Also, keep in mind that it is not just the person needing healed that requires the proper Faith.  Although often times this is all that is needed.  To assist in the process, if the person administering the treatment has implicit Faith, either in the person or the technique, that adds significant energy to the process.  This is why it is often said in Ayurveda and other ancient traditions, that the healing force of the practitioner is the true source of healing.  A person established in Faith in the limitless ability to heal could administer an inactive ingredient and still get results.

This is why it is better to approach a healer with an approach that you feel comfortable with, so that you can cooperatively work together.  This makes healing quick and easy.  To test or challenge a healer will only waste yours and their time.  Although if you feel in your heart the power of their technique, and simply have mental noise causing you doubts, a good healer will not allow that to interfere with the cooperative efforts.
